About Us

Our group, based in Oakland County at Beaumont Hospital, has served patients throughout Michigan and the Detroit Metropolitan area.

All physicians are board certified by The American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Physicians in our group participate in institutional research and education and research on a national level through such groups as the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group (ACOSOG) and the Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG).

  Thoracic Surgical Services Provided

While the majority of a general thoracic surgeon's practice deals with the care and treatment of patients with cancer of the lung and esophagus, Midwest Thoracic Surgeons also provides a full range of procedures for benign disease such as spontaneous pneumothorax, empyema, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and hyperhidrosis.

A full spectrum of endoscopy procedures of the lungs and esophagus are also provided along with dilation, stenting and laser procedures.

Whenever indicated, minimally invasive surgical approaches are used in the treatment of both benign and malignant chest pathology.
